Finding Strength in the Struggle: How Losing My Grandmother Taught Me Resilience

Are you feeling lost or struggling with your mental health? Do you feel like you're all alone in your struggles? If so, you're not alone! Life can be challenging and it's okay to not have everything figured out. I know firsthand how difficult it can be to lose someone close to you, but it's important to remember that we are all stronger than we think we are.

Just a few months ago, I lost my grandmother. Losing her was one of the hardest things I've ever experienced. She was my best friend, my confidante, and my biggest supporter. It was tough to imagine life without her, and for a while, I felt lost and alone. But as time passed, I realized that I had the strength and resilience to get through it.

Grandmas are the best! And my Bubbie Jojo was no exception. She was not just my grandma but also my teacher, my guide, and my friend. She taught me so much about life, love, and happiness. Her lessons on kindness and self-love continue to inspire me every day, and I am forever grateful for her.

Bubbie Jojo was a strong woman who lived through difficult times, but she never lost her smile or her spirit. She taught me to be kind to others and to be kind to myself. Her love and support have helped me through some tough times, and she is the reason I am still standing today.

Days turned into months, and Bubbie Jojo is no longer with me. And I have to admit, it hurts. There are days when I am feeling the blues, and I wish I could call her. But I am realizing that the people around us either have our backs or they don't. Bubbie Jojo was one of the few people who had my back unconditionally, and for that, I am forever grateful.

So what would Bubbie Jojo say if she were here today? I think she would say, "Britsky, you are my brave warrior. Live your life." And that is exactly what I am doing. I am living my best life because I know that Bubbie Jojo paved the way for me. She sacrificed so much for me to live this amazing life, and I will forever be grateful for her.

I may not have too many people like Bubbie Jojo in my life, but I am grateful for her because she taught me unconditional love. She showed me how to love and care for others without expecting anything in return. And she also taught me the importance of self-love, and how we cannot truly love others unless we love ourselves first.

My Bubs was more than just a grandma. She was a force of nature, a shining light in my life. Losing her has been difficult, but her lessons and her love continue to inspire me every day. So here's to Bubbie Jojo, my brave warrior, and to all the grandmas out there who teach us how to live, love, and be happy!

Grief can be a heavy burden to carry, but it's important to remember that it's okay to grieve. It's a natural part of the healing process. One thing that helped me was talking about my feelings with friends and family. Sometimes just having someone to listen can make a huge difference.

I also found comfort in doing things that made me happy. Whether it was spending time with loved ones, going for a walk, or reading a good book, taking care of myself helped me to feel better.

If you're struggling with your mental health, know that you're not alone. There are resources available to help you, whether it's talking to a therapist, joining a support group, or reaching out to a trusted friend or family member.

Remember, it's okay to not have everything figured out. Life is a journey, and it's okay to take your time finding your way. Embrace your strengths and your resilience, and know that you're capable of overcoming any obstacle.

So, to anyone out there who's feeling lost, dealing with grief or struggling with their mental health, know that you're not alone. You're stronger than you think, and you will get through this. Keep pushing forward, and never forget that there is always hope for a brighter tomorrow.
